County Locksmiths Ltd was started in 2011 by Mike after he retired from the Police force after a total of nearly 30 years’ service in a wide variety of different policing disciplines. Mike prides himself in the fact that the company is a genuine local and family firm offering value for money across their entire skill base.During his service Mike was introduced to locks and how they work and subsequently spent time with a locksmith in Edinburgh in order to hone his skills around basic lock work.After retirement Mike attended the basic locksmith course with the Master Locksmiths Association, which was soon followed by their ‘opening and picking’ course.  After 6 months in trade Mike then attended courses on uPVC doors and windows together with a knowledge and understanding seminar on double glazed window units supply and replacement. Mended our upvc back door where the mechanism became ever so stiff. The door had become out of alignment in several ways and Mike patiently worked through all the variables until the door locked as smoothly as new. Very professional, cheerful person and highly skilled.

Mike was fantastic, called in an emergency as I couldn't lock my front door one afternoon, he came straight out to us and was with us after around 20 minutes of the first call. He fixed the lock but we both knew it would need replacing soon, he quoted to change the lock completely, barel, handles, latches etc the lot, also to replace our letterbox, we went ahead with the quote due to the reasonable costs and we knew he was a professional tradesman from the first visit. On time, tidy, polite, professional, no time wasting. Would highly recommend to anyone in the beds and bucks area!

I ended up locked out of my house as my husbands keys were in the lock on the inside and therefore unable to unlock it from the outside with mine. I had originally rang a different locksmith which was a huge mistake and they completely let me down and left me waiting in the cold. Then I rang Towcester locksmiths and he was with me within 5 minutes and then he had me back in my house in the warm within another 5 minutes. Not only was he very punctual, he was polite, friendly and very reassuring. He did a fantastic job for a fantastic price and I completely recommend him to anyone I know or don’t know.
